Constantly rolling your ankle? 👀😅
If you’re prone to ankle sprains - building strength, balance and control can help improve ankle stability.
Try these 4 simple exercises from Lizzie:
1. Calf raises with a ball between your ankles
Keep a constant light squeeze of the ball to encourgae correct ankle tracking while building calf and foot strength 💪
2. Single leg balance
Too easy? Add a ball toss to challenge your balance and reactions. 🙌
3. Ball eversion
Press the ball with the outside of your foot into the wall, helping build strength through your lateral (outer) ankle stabilisers
4. Ball inversion
Press the ball with the inside of your foot into the wall, helping build strength through your medial (inner) ankle stabilisers
Start with slow, controlled reps and focus on keeping the ankle stable rather than rushing through the movement.
Save this for your next ankle stability session! 🤩
Note that if you’re repeatedly spraining the same ankle, it’s worth getting it assessed by our team to figure out why 🫶🧡
