Iโ€™ve been pretty quiet on here lately. Sometimes life happens, and you have to take a step back, breathe, and deal with things that matter beyond what people see on social media. I was supposed to compete this weekend, but Iโ€™ve made the decision to step away from the stage for now. As much as I love competing, as much as I love this sport, and as ready as I was to step on stage, sometimes life requires you to put other things first. I once read something that stuck with me: โ€œHave you ever noticed that when you miss a turn, your GPS never says youโ€™ve failed? It simply says โ€˜recalculatingโ€™ or โ€˜reroutingโ€™?โ€ Thatโ€™s life sometimes. You donโ€™t always lose your way. Sometimes you just need to find a different route. The stage will always be there. And Iโ€™ll be back doing what I love. For now, Iโ€™m rerouting. Focusing on myself, my life, and the things that truly need my attention. This isnโ€™t the end.
