Oh the rage. As someone from the south I feel so guilty and angry that our government, media and alot of the people abandoned nationalists communities in the north. I was only a kid in the 90s but we all watched it on tv with disgust and horror and rage but that wasnt enough. We should have done more. Dublin governments were fully complicit as they are now. I hope now that more eyes are open in the south and that the support shown towards Garvaghy from ordinary ppl, musicians etc these weeks is a new and better type of solidarity.

Not content with killing your dad but then taking your precious irreplaceable family photos, just so evil 😢

We met the Dohertys in Derry and Donegal, they are so lovely and friendly. It's tragic what happened to their dad 😢

That’s the most of what I remember is our house being raided too in Leafair, me ma getting threw into the back of the landrover by her hair, my Aunt Bessie Mc Cartney lived facing us so we went to hers and then were took to me granny Mollys until they released me Ma! Neil Mc Monagle and Scue Duffy were shot too leaving our house by the SAS… my mother was a proud Republican and our family the same! My uncle Sa a true son of Ireland. ☘️🇮🇪

The Dohertys. If you’re looking for inspiration, kindness and decency, look no further.
