SOP002 - SENSE FRACTURE - Tyrant Sun EP

Sense Fracture’s music has always been about an alchemical purification of dangerous energies into positive force. This new release, their first on their new label Sounds Of Paimon, soars towards the source and through the negative space between.
The EP’s five tracks are influenced by their home country of Italy, the environmental and political turmoil that is affecting it. The fire in the sky and the fire under the ground. It's a way of channeling that same incendiary energy into positive action.
Tyrant Sun is F Birsa Alessandri’s next step into their exploration of traditional folk music from southern and central Italy, laying a thread that connects it to contemporary rave culture. A sonic lineage that reveals Italian culture as more connected to the mediterranean than to the upper sides of Europe.
In Alessandri’s hands, the sound of traditional instruments like frame drums, tambourines, accordions and mandolins gets solarized by monstrous basses and colossal kicks. The beats of folk genres like salterello, tarantella and pizzica are dragged into a psychedelic inversion of mediterranean brightness. A jump into Nigredo to trigger the Albeido. A Tyrant Sun is rising but we will steal its fire.
