I had to make an edit for Raglan James because I really do like his character in the show. I also like the actor, Justin Kirk is just too much fun in this role.
The joke here is that he's a British secret agent, but he does not listen to James Bond music. I imagine that he definitely cruises around in his car on Talamasca missions while listening to British rap music.
Honestly, it's a shame that the TV show did not give more details about Raglan's actual hobbies and interests, but this feels 100% accurate for his sense of humor.
He brought so much life and laughter to both the Talamasca show and Season 3!
He made me laugh a lot when I watched him in the Talamasca show as well as the third season.
I love that he’s surrounded by a bunch of dark, toxic dick head characters while remaining completely chill by comparison.
Sure, obviously, Tale of the Body Thief character development might mean he's got a darker edge underneath the facade — but two things can be true at once!
A well-written character can have layers, and when a vampire show is packed with absolute chaos, it's nice to have at least one somewhat likeable guy around before he starts snatching bodies.
We are not at that point in the story yet, but even then I can't really guarantee that I'm going to call him a bad villain for that because the actual vampires have committed worse crimes, but Raglan just wants money and power.
I know that the production is slowly developing him to be a villain.
But so far, I don't have any negative opinions about him at all.
Because he was the only one who actually got the important shit done.
So if they want me to not like him, then they need to give me better reasons for being mad at him.
I can't find any reason to even be mad at him yet.
Mad for WHAT exactly ?
Him looking handsome in glasses and suits ?
Him getting justice for my girl, Claudia ?
Him being professional and doing his job ?
Nah, I'm like: "Raglan, keep up the good work."
