About 60,000 participants took part in the New York City Marathon on Sunday. Every step of the way, crowds offered another nudge forward, often with a pulsing soundtrack of cheers, musical acts and more cowbells than anyone can count.

Hans Majestet Kongen og Dronning Sonja tok imot landets statsforvaltere til middag på Slottet.

– Tusen takk for den store innsatsen dere gjør når vi kommer på besøk. Dere bidrar til å skape gode minner hos veldig mange mennesker. Og vi hadde ikke klart oss uten dere, sa Kong Haakon i talen.

Statsforvalterne er statens øverste representant i fylkene og har et særlig ansvar for at rammen rundt, og innholdet i, et kongelig besøk blir best mulig ivaretatt.
