FRUITS OF OUR LABOR 🪡🍎 10.13.26 thru 1.11.27
We have been lucky enough to work with some of Chicago’s most inimitable and iconoclastic artists. For our third show at the cafe we are beyond grateful to welcome @noel.walletchain someone who continues to redefine mixed media and material.
We first met Noel with @engageprojects @jenniferarmetta and @anna_cerniglia for a group show we got to make an inspired dinner for interdisciplinary artists ina show called “Crafting Pragmatics.” Noel’s work surprises, unravels, and refastens found objects and remnants. Last summer we teamed up for a supper club in his Logan Square studio bringing 35 people into a 300ft workshop sipping melon soup and twirling squid ink pasta surrounded by the sartorial’s 5 vintage sewing machines. The dinner was one of our favorites to date.
We are so proud and honored to invite Noel into the space for TXA TXA’s third visual artist installation at the Cafe.
FRUITS OF OUR LABOR, a show by @noel.walletchain explores the cultural meanings embedded in found objects, which he repurposes into new, expressive approaches. All of his works are handmade with a deep appreciation for quality, attention to detail, and craftsmanship. Everything becomes a canvas in his hands.
Join us next Tuesday 10.20.26 6-9pm for the show opening for passed bites and special artists inspired cocktails. And get a chance to shop some of Noel’s work for one of our last of the season’s outdoor pop up shop 🛒 Our visual arts program provides a space to not just show work, but involve the artist in our own art practice; one of sharing and exploring ingredients. Come check out some inspired menu items available at the cafe through the duration of the show.
