This fall break did NOT go as initially planned!
We were supposed to be enjoying one of our favorite places, Alabama’s Beaches; however, Hurricane Isaias had other plans 😫
So Tuesday evening we made an audible and planned to come to Austin less than 2 days later!
Although, I’ve been to Austin before, I must say it’s truly a vibe!!
FOOD:
The food was delicious (we ate at @suerteatx and @stilesswitchbbq - food so good I didn’t take pictures!!) And when I come back @interstellarbbq will see me! We went but they were closing and running out of food.
STAY:
We stayed at @fairfieldatx which was a perfect location! We could walk to Rainey street (literally the next block over) and the 1 bedroom suite allowed enough space for everyone.
TO DO:
My husband and Baby A kayaked to see the 1.5 million bats while Baby B and I went to @cidercade_austin- $12 for endless play and some of the best cider I’ve had!
We also went to Thinkery Museum. I’d recommend it for younger kids.
Also- they have amazing parks and installations!

Getting in line early for Interstellar is worth it. Also just a fun atmosphere. If you'd like I can give you a list of parks and places that are fun for kids for your next visit. :) Cidercade is one of my kids favorites also.
