🎮🚫 Claude Code will no longer help you rebuild an existing video game, even if you give it a new name and call it original. A new rule reached Claude Code from Anthropic’s servers around October 27, and users found it in their config files under a flag called tengu_heron_brook. It tells Claude to build original games, games in a genre, and games made from the user’s own designs and assets, but not to recreate a specific game that already exists, and there is no setting to turn it off. The change follows a wave of AI recreations of games like Terraria and Halo made with Claude Opus 5.5, and comes after Moonlighter developer Digital Sun scaled back a public playtest of its next game because it feared clones. Reactions are split, with some developers welcoming fewer copycat games while others say they will move to other AI models. Anthropic has not made an official statement about the rule. What are your thoughts on this? 🤔💬 — ➡️ If you want to keep up with all the AI news, useful tips, and important developments, join 100k+ subscribers reading our free newsletter
Democrat Keisha Lance Bottoms won the Georgia governor’s race, the Associated Press said. She is the first Black woman to be elected governor in U.S. history. With 75% of the vote counted, Bottoms, a former Atlanta mayor who later worked in Joe Biden’s White House, had 55.4% of the vote, to 44.6% for Republican Rick Jackson. Bottoms, 56, ran a campaign focused on rising costs. She promised that she would stand up to President Trump and work to expand Medicaid in Georgia. She slammed Republican Rick Jackson, 72, for praising Trump during the Republican primary, during which Jackson at one point said he wanted to be Trump’s favorite governor. Democrats are off to a strong start in the midterm election, flipping their first Senate seat of the night in North Carolina and holding seats in Georgia and New Hampshire. Democratic incumbent Sen. Jon Ossoff, one of President Trump’s most vocal critics, defeated Republican challenger Mike Collins in Georgia. Read more at the link in our bio. Photo: Robin Rayne/ZUMA Press
The bigger problem in Europe right now is that all the countries will have to make a decision on whether they will save France the country, or their currency, the Euro... I’ll explain... Even though Japan and the US also have a very high debt problem at the moment, but to repay their debt, they can print their own currency, which is in their control... Of course, such high printing of currency will lead to inflation, which they will try and manage... But France does not even have the option of printing money... because the Euro is managed by the ECB which all the EU countries run together... So when France goes to request the Euro Central Bank (ECB) to print more money... they will say why should other European countries face the brunt of inflation when the one at fault is you... This was the first option - printing more currency. Now comes the second option - borrowing more money... Since 1974... France has never made more money than it has spent, which means it has been borrowing every single year for 50 years... and now the interest cost is rising because bond rates have also gone up in US and Japan... so no investor will take French bonds and accept a low interest rate So what is the other option? Rescue Financing - Europe also has a Eurozone Rescue Fund which can lend at a reasonable rate just to save the French economy... And with such financing will come conditions such as asking France to cut down on budgets for pensions and public funding... And the French people are such that anytime the govt raises the retirement age by 2 years or even proposes to cut any spending... they come on the streets protesting... as happened in 2023... Now the Rescue Fund has about EUR 500 Bn to lend... but France’s debt is EUR 3.5 Tn... 7X larger... so will France accept this amount with conditions and take a chance with civil unrest that could overthrow the government? P.S. Note that this is just simplification of otherwise several complex topics to educate on what is happening currently, and should not be treated as investment advice, or the only perspective on the world. #casarthahuja
