21 days agoThat’s just amazing and so happy to hear this. So many doctors won’t treat ladies in their 70s. Well done you! ❤️
23 days agoI tried HRT @ 60 unfortunately i couldn’t get on with any of the progesterone proscribed for me so had to come off again I do use vaginal HRT
23 days agoSuch a pleasing outcome Mary, I hope you continue to improve. We older women do have a battle. I am age 69, only 6 weeks ago I started body identical estrogen and progesterone. This is after being refused by 2 GPs 1 of which was the surgery HRT Specialist, along with being advised against it by a 3rd GP. I was advised that I could have a referral to the hospital gynecologist HRT specialst, with a long waiting list. Alternatively it was suggested I could go Private but that I should be cautious about this. The following week I went to my local Nuffield for a private consultation and was given a prescription as above. Such a battle! I am improved but feel scope for more, so at my review at 3 months I will ask if testosterone is an option for me. I want to live my best life, who knows how many years I have left on this planet, I want to thrive.
24 days agoMary - you are a trailblazer 🔥🔥🔥. You need to be the poster lady .. gosh this should be on the news and across all newspapers… you are inspiring ❤️
24 days agoWish my mum could get it She’s 84. Has hot flushes has to get up in night to the loo and has osteoporosis. I feel the medical fraternity has dismissed her and many other elderly women from proper care. Cos she’s old. 😥
24 days agoI so wish my 80 yo mum would go on to HRT. She is in the absolutely terrified club and won’t hear of it. So many women’s lives ruined by misinformation. It makes my blood boil. So pleased for Mary 👏👏👏
24 days agoI hope lots of women see Mary's story. Just shows it's never too late to get benefits from replacing your own hormones. So many women of Mary's age are missing out and it's very unfair.
