Lakes in a Day 2026 - 54 miles / 14,276ft elevation. 77th place out of 280 starters (I wanted to be in the top third so v happy with that). A lot of people sadly DNFd which I think is fairly normal in this race. A tough 32 mile mountain ultra marathon (followed by a 22 mile tough trail run) from north to south through the whole of Lakeland. Although I was dreading the weather (and it was horribly bitter on the tops) it did showcase everything Lakeland has to offer. So nice to get to Cartmel at the end.
