Doc Jones

In my opinion, if you truly want to learn how to lead/be the best version of yourself within a larger ensemble (Jazz, Orchestral, Wind), it’s imperative that you PERFORM in a Chamber group, e.g., Brass Trio, Quartet, Quintet, Brass Ensemble, etc., throughout your Collegiate years. If you never play in the aforementioned and only perform in large ensembles…good luck. You’re truly missing out on elements that give you the tools you need to take to those larger ensembles.
