NEW YORK CITY MARATHON // what a day. so beautiful, so hard. NY I love you.

i started to get pretty excited on my sunrise drive over to staten island and it just kept building throughout the day. from frank sinatra blasting at the base of the verrazano bridge to ripping through the five boroughs seeing so many friends and family along the way - an experience i’ll never forget.

this was the first marathon i’ve run without a time goal. i wanted to soak it all in and let the day unfold without the pace dictating how i felt. i was ready for whatever and had a lot of fun just being in the moment. the nyc marathon in 2018 marked the beginning of my running journey, and with everything that’s changed personally in the last eight years, there was so much to reflect on. it made an already special day mean that much more.

a lot of love to @vuoriclothing for making it happen - an incredible weekend celebrating the best race in the world.

“The midterms gonna come and y’all gonna get wiped out.” Marshan Camese, the New Orleans community activist who went viral in May 2026, called it.

Camese said Millennials and Gen Z aren’t supporting racism and will play a major role in shaping the country’s future.

It’s been good to get into the garden ….

I’ve managed two mornings in a row, planting bulbs and foxgloves, weeding and cutting back. Bulb planting isn’t my favourite gardening job, but it will be worth it next spring!

I was a bit late sowing the majority of my foxgloves this year, it was August by the time I got around to it. They’ve caught up nicely though and I like to get them planted rather than leave them in the greenhouse over winter. I think I’ve about another 100 to plant yet, so I need to get a move on. Anyone would think foxgloves were one of my favourites ….. well you’d be right! 🤣

Have you grown foxgloves for next year?

Happy Tuesday everyone 😀
