Here’s to day 1, again! … also another reminder that everyone you see is fighting their own battles behind the scenes.
Music & The Mirror *and the rake*💃🏻✨🫀🌻⛰️♥️ This was taken a year ago today, our 9th show of the week, I woke up reallyy sick (of course) and was fighting all the emotions of closing this special show, plus my mum and sister being there (😭). Time is such a fascinating thing. The first time I watched this my self critic ripped it apart, only able to see the flaws and many examples of circumstance. It popped up on my memories yesterday and I can now see so much more. She feels sooooo far away from who I am now which is wild to say but absolutely true. But I’m so damn proud of her and everything she overcame during this uphill marathon. So I decided to share it today incase someone else has not fully celebrated their wins both big or small because the moment captured wasn’t the perfect representation of all the hard work that went into the crafting of it or the journey. Have I danced it better? Yes. Have I sang it better? Yes. And I can’t wait to do it again one day and show you - live 🥹( and on a flat stage) 🫶🏽 #cassie #musical #dance #sing #act
It’s us. Those guys from that movie.
🥳
Know that you were literally loved into existence. Remember that you were dreamed into being. So, too, was your neighbor, your perceived enemy, your classmate… No matter the longitude & latitude, the degree of melanin, or the language on the tongue… we all have that in common. May every beloved human flower’s right to grow, live and bloom be protected. Justice for Javits Frimpong, and for every life lost to the collective spell of forgetfulness. 🤍 On the continent, doing the work, happening to be in couture. 🪄@styledbybleu 👗 @ibilolaogundipeofficial 💇🏾‍♀️ @chiomanhair 💄 @dolledbyeleanora 📸 @colphix_shotit 🧙🏾‍♂️ @d3mogul #LagosFashionWeek #AFRIFF #D3TA
