If you can swing it, get out to Santa Fe Artist Getaway. The studio space is fantastic, huge, perfectly set up to help you make art. The surroundings are gorgeous, beautiful views, great hikes, nature. Bev is the best, most generous hostess. Residencies and workshops both are excellent.
