I don’t always need an excuse.

I don’t always need a long explanation.

And I don’t need everyone to agree with my boundary for it to matter to me.

Sometimes my answer is just my answer.

I can care about someone and still say no.

I can understand their perspective and still choose differently.

I can feel uncomfortable and still keep the boundary.

For me, that’s the bit people don’t always talk about.

You can be kind and still be clear.
