31 years ago today, Tha Dogg Pound released their debut studio album, Dogg Food, on October 31, 1995. The Death Row Records duo of Daz Dillinger and Kurupt delivered a hard-hitting West Coast project rooted in G-funk, sharp lyricism, and the sound that helped define the label’s mid-’90s run. The album featured standout tracks like “New York, New York,” “Let’s Play House,” “Respect,” “Dogg Pound Gangstaz,” and “Smooth,” with appearances from Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Michel’le, and others.
