I was in middle school when REM’s Loosing My Religion was in heavy rotation for radio airplay . The new local mall had been recently built, and my friends and I hung out there all the time. One time I was in a dressing room with a friend, and i was mindlessly singing the song. As she was changing, she thought I was singing, “Flash me in the corner” instead of “that’s me in the corner.” Awkward!!
