For the longest time, I thought being a successful woman meant being able to do it ALL.
Be a present mother. Build a career. Look good. Stay fit. Be financially independent. Have a happy marriage, a social life, hobbies… and somehow, never lose yourself in the process.
But somewhere along the way, I started wondering — when did being exhausted become the price we pay for being successful?
As women, we’re constantly told we can have it all. And yes, we can be ambitious, independent, loving mothers, good partners and so much more.
But do we have to be everything, all at once, all the time?
Maybe some seasons of life are for building a career. Some are for raising our children. Some are for finding ourselves again.
And maybe none of these seasons need to look perfect.
I’m learning that I don’t want a life that just looks good on paper. I want a life that feels good to live.
One where I can show up for my family without abandoning myself. Where I can chase my ambitions without feeling guilty. Where I can take a break without feeling like I’m falling behind.
And where being a strong, independent woman doesn’t mean having to do everything alone.
Maybe the goal isn’t to have it all. Maybe it’s to build a life you genuinely enjoy living.
I’m curious — do you ever feel like you’re trying to be everything to everyone, and somewhere in the middle, you forget about yourself?
Tell me I’m not the only one. ❤️
