Glenn Brown has two new works with Galerie Max Hetzler at Frieze London, Booth B14: Songs of Praise (2026) and Drawing XIX (after Reni) (2026).
Both are based on drawings by Italian Old Masters. Songs of Praise starts from Raphael’s Study for the Disciple at the Extreme Left of The Transfiguration, formerly in the Chatsworth Collection. Drawing XIX works from Guido Reni’s Young Woman’s Head, Turned to Glance over Her Left Shoulder. Brown unsettles these quiet, pensive studies, making them restless and charged.
The works are on view alongside works by fellow Galerie Max Hetzler artists including Darren Almond, Louise Bonnet, Katharina Grosse, Albert Oehlen, Rebecca Warren and Toby Ziegler.
