This new @krstrings_octolindo F Model Deluxe really caught me by surprise. I think the carved top and F holes make a huge difference. What do you think? #mandolin #octavemandolin

I nearly got one of these, but a great deal on a Northfield AT1 (mahogany) came up that I couldn’t resist. I do have a flat-top oval hole Octolindo that I enjoy as well. I feel like the Octolindos are a little more mandolin-y with the dimensions, where Northfield is a little more guitar-y. For my purpose as a singer-songwriter, the Northfield I think works a little better, but Octolindos are great too.
