Nice Uber @willmac.7 Finally home. 45 days stay c/o ward C9 Addenbrookes. The journey to recovery is vicious and feels like walking through set concrete. Yes it feels impossible. But Wills home. The first 100 days post transplant are known as the acute recovery phase. Will remains in isolation at home (Think COVID procedures) until the 100th day when the biologically matured cells start to work their magic. !January 9th! September 15th 2025 - October 30th 2026. Will has endured 410 days of absolute terror, pain beyond comprehension, during the stem cell transplant the rapid response team were called twice. Imagine being scared for your life and every person apart from immediate family are strangers every ā€œground hogā€ day. Will is breathless after walking 20 steps. (Low red blood cells) Feels nauseous constantly. Pain in every bit of his body, Recovery from Chemo is slow as his new cells are yet to mature. Recovering from bed sores. Muscle spasms, cramp. Weaning off heavy meds. Every hour is a teeny tiny step towards a future. This is Will Mac. !The strongest Man! #strongestman #teamwill37 #stemcelltransplant #anthonynolan #imri @cambridge_alumni

NEWS | Salvadoran soldiers have begun patrolling the streets of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, with some residents welcoming their arrival by applauding military convoys passing through their neighborhoods. On October 30, heavily armed Salvadoran troops were seen moving through Tabarre and surrounding areas, including neighborhoods near Toussaint Louverture International Airport. The soldiers traveled in armored vehicles and on foot, with helicopter support. Footage of the patrols has circulated online, including a video shared by El Salvadorā€™s President Nayib Bukele. More than 2,000 Salvadoran soldiers have been deployed to Haiti following the disappearance of four Salvadoran aviation technicians during a gang ambush in Croix-des-Bouquets on October 18. Bukele says the operation aims to bring the missing men home and confront armed gangs obstructing the mission. The applause from some residents marks a visible show of support for the troopsā€™ arrival, as Haiti continues to face widespread gang violence and insecurity. However, reactions to the foreign military deployment remain divided, and the response of those welcoming the soldiers does not necessarily represent the views of the wider population ā€¢ ____ // Combined sources
American Airlines will restart daily nonstop service between Miami and Cap-HaĆÆtien on Sunday, November 1, 2026.ā  ā  The flights will operate from Miami International Airport to Cap-HaĆÆtienā€™s Hugo ChĆ”vez International Airport on Boeing 737 aircraft. The service marks the return of a major U.S. airline to Haiti after nearly two years of limited options for travelers.ā  ā  Under the schedule, the Miamiā€“Cap-HaĆÆtien flight is set to depart around 10:15 a.m. and arrive around 12:15 p.m. local time. The return flight leaves Cap-HaĆÆtien around 1:15 p.m. and lands in Miami around 3:15 p.m. The timing allows for onward connections through Miami for passengers traveling from other U.S. cities.ā  ā  Cap-HaĆÆtien becomes American Airlinesā€™ 100th destination across Mexico, the Caribbean, and Latin America. The resumption comes as U.S. commercial flights to Port-au-Prince remain restricted under the Federal Aviation Administrationā€™s ban, which has been in place since late 2024 following security incidents involving gunfire on aircraft in the capital. Cap-HaĆÆtien and other northern airports have remained open to U.S. carriers.ā  ā  For many in the Haitian diaspora in South Florida and beyond, the daily Miamiā€“Cap-HaĆÆtien route restores a direct, major-carrier option for family visits, business travel, and connections to northern Haiti. Cap-HaĆÆtien serves as a key gateway for the northern region, and the new service adds capacity after years of reliance on smaller operators.ā  ā  American Airlines previously served Cap-HaĆÆtien starting in 2014 after the airportā€™s runway was rehabilitated. The November 1 restart places the northern city back on the airlineā€™s network during the winter travel season.ā  ā
