Howard Homecoming is this weekend, and it’s going to be a busy one around Park View and Shaw. Yardfest is Friday and Saturday, and the game kicks off Saturday at 3:30. Expect road closures and restricted parking, especially around Georgia Ave. If you’re coming to class, take Metro, bike, or walk if you can. Whatever you choose, leave early and give yourself extra time to get to the studio. How are you getting to us this weekend? lately. 🤎🤎 the past few weeks/months have been really confusing for me. i have days where i feel so grateful for the life we’ve created, and A LOT of days where i feel crippled by depression and anxiety. idk how much the lack of quality sleep is contributing, but lately things have felt unbearably heavy. i wanted to share this because i know there are moms who watch my motherhood content and probably think i have it all figured out when i don’t! i have a village. i have a supportive, active husband. and i STILL struggle. you don’t always see me yelling at my kids and having to apologize. or being mean to my husband when he doesn’t deserve it because i’m irritable and overwhelmed. 😓 a few minutes of our day will never tell the whole story. i’m grateful for the friends who check in. my neighbors and in-laws who show up and help. my husband who sees me in my darkest moments and still extends me grace. my kids who make me feel like the greatest mom in the world, even on the days i lose my shit and have to own it. i still have dark days and dark moments. i’m truly doing my best, and i’m looking forward to getting more help with this. 🤞🏾 if you’ve been feeling something similar, i see you. you can love your kids, appreciate your village, and still struggle with the weight of it all. two things can be true: you can be grateful for your life and still need help getting through your days. ***you don’t have to wait until you can’t take any more to ask for support !!** 🤎🤎🤎🤎
