🇬🇧 part 1/3: YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE – FILMING LOCATIONS 🎬

Bond visits Osato’s office at the New Otani Hotel in Tokyo, although the offices themselves were recreated at Pinewood Studios in England.

🚁 The helicopter landing scene, however, was filmed on the rooftop of the New Asahi Building in Osaka. Surprisingly, this was the only scene shot in the city! Although the surrounding skyline has changed, old photographs still reveal some of the buildings seen in the film.

Why Osaka instead of Tokyo? That remains a mystery!

🇫🇷 Partie 1/3: ON NE VIT QUE DEUX FOIS – LIEUX DE TOURNAGE

Bond se rend dans les bureaux d’Osato, situés au New Otani Hotel de Tokyo, même si les bureaux eux-mêmes ont été recréés aux studios Pinewood, en Angleterre.

🚁 En revanche, la scène de l’hélicoptère a été tournée sur le toit du New Asahi Building, à Osaka. Étonnamment, il s’agit de l’unique séquence filmée dans cette ville ! Malgré les transformations du paysage urbain, d’anciennes photographies permettent encore de reconnaître certains bâtiments visibles dans le film.

Pourquoi Osaka plutôt que Tokyo ? Le mystère reste entier !
