2026 • “The Calm” • Isaiah 26:3 - “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” A very special person asked me, “How do you celebrate when you complete a painting like THIS?” To be honest, I never really asked myself this question. When I’m in the flow state, the music, my hand coupled with the brush move as one. Before this time and space, I’m making a series of educated and sometimes overly thoughtful decisions as a form of marks. Which can be anxiety filled and, perhaps, paralyzing. However, towards completion, I allow my intuition, my soul do what feels “works.” Allow. That’s the word. Allowing for my soul to add the finishing touches. This is where I’m the most at peace. Ready to celebrate. When I think of and exist in troubling and scary times and moments in life, the Lord provides me with Peace. A reason to celebrate. A few seconds to breathe. To know I’m protected and gifted a chance to keep going. To keep growing. So, to answer that question: feeling God’s presence is the celebration.

“The Calm” is the showcasing the allowance of the Lord’s peace.
