Your TBR hates to see me coming…
Here’s a stack of some of the big books I’ll be promoting in store, in case you were interested.
Andi Watson returns to the wonderfully off-kilter world of The Book Tour with another deadpan mystery where everyday life takes increasingly absurd turns. Watson’s understated humour, retro aesthetic and knack for making the mundane feel quietly surreal are a perfect fit for this follow-up.
A delightfully strange, Kafkaesque comic for anyone who likes their mysteries a little sideways. Damn fine cartooning.
A beautiful, strange folktale that feels like the blueprint for so much of Miyazaki’s later work. A young prince sets out across a brutal, fantastical landscape in search of golden grain to save his people, encountering cruelty, wonder and unexpected kindness along the way.

An intriguing mix of the everyday and the genuinely weird.

Japanese folklore, occult weirdness and grotesque, darkly comic horror collide in this long-lost 1988 gem, finally reprinted for the first time. One for fans of the truly bizarre.
Josh Simmons takes post-apocalyptic horror somewhere truly bleak and deeply unsettling. Following a group of women travelling through a ruined Am
