Soooo…. Do pets do this too? Bc my shorkie poo did the most after I was gone that my autistic self could NOT deal with the punishment behaviors…. I gave her to my nephew who I know will NEVER leave her. I feel like Lady Sophia is anxiously attached…. Would not take comfort after days of attention

I miss him. He calls me when he has a moment. If I’m gone I call him when I have a moment. But I definitely miss him a lot a lot. Like I prefer him to be by my side always, but I like that we’re both independent people with our own understanding of autonomy. And that we never get mad when he has boys trips or I go see my family alone because he has to work etc. but we definitely give each other huge hugs and updates and laugh and cuddle immediately when we’re back from wherever. He’s away at a work conference rn and I miss him sooo much! 18 years later I think it’s working out for us. lol! We’re both still so in love.

The anxious attachment frame makes so much sense here. Being mad after being away is not about the boyfriend, it is the reunion stirring up every old attachment panic.
