A GTA 6 fan who went viral for hoping to live long enough to play the game has passed away just weeks before its release.

Jerry, known online as “Void Only,” had been battling interstitial lung disease for years and told fans earlier this year that one of his biggest wishes was simply to make it to GTA 6.

Jerry underwent a lung transplant in September after supporters rallied around him and raised tens of thousands of dollars for his treatment. Complications later worsened his condition, and his family confirmed that he passed away on Oct. 29.

Jerry had planned to stream GTA 6 with his community when it released. Since his passing, fans have been sharing tributes and saying they plan to honor “Void” when the game finally drops.

Rest in peace, Jerry 🕊️

No more “I don’t have time.” Each of these takes one weekend:

1️⃣ Static website with a custom domain
HTTPS, a CDN and DNS. Teaches you how the internet actually reaches your app.

2️⃣ Locked-down VM
Azure Bastion, NSGs and no public IP. Real security basics.

3️⃣ Cost control setup
Budget alerts plus auto-shutdown for dev resources. Every company cares about this.

4️⃣ Secrets-free app
Store secrets in Key Vault and access them with a managed identity. Nothing in your code.

5️⃣ Terraform pipeline
GitHub Actions deploying your Terraform on every push.

Build one per weekend and in 5 weeks you’ll have a real portfolio.

We gave up an off day so we could Rock Bristol on 10/27/26… no other venues could work within our schedule so we relied on my bass assassin/Tour manager @jdubrails to set up a pop up at his favorite pub in the City!!
Maximum respect to everybody who showed up we had an amazing time!!!

My first leading role in musical theatre 🎭✨ Just 4 days to learn the song, rehearse and get ready for the stage 🎤💕

My very first musical theatre performance, and I had so much fun bringing this character to life 🌟

A big thank you to all the lovely girls who shared the stage with me, and to @theplaymakerstheatre for such an amazing week!

What do you think of my performance? 🥰 #MusicalTheatre #YoungPerformer #FirstLeadingRole 🎭✨
