We are saddened to share that our founding President & CEO, Natalie Allen, has passed away.
When Natalie was appointed President & CEO in 1988, at the time of “The Merger”, PAI was known as the Philadelphia High School Academy Association, Inc. She went on to lead our organization for 17 years alongside, as she put it, “a team of the most compassionate, diligent, intelligent, and motivated people I’ve ever known.”
As we remember Natalie, we are grateful for her years of leadership and stewardship of our organization, and for the generations of students, educators, and partners whose lives she touched.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside her. We will honor her memory by continuing the work she began and carrying forward her commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for Philadelphia's young people.
A funeral service for Natalie will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, October 17, at Advent Lutheran Church, 470 Landis Road, Harleysville, PA 19438, where the family will receive friends from 10-11 AM.
