I can’t believe I’m saying this, but in less than three weeks we’re gonna be in Vietnam officially. I am so eager to explore our motherland with everyone who is coming with me in November. Even though it’s not my first time in Vietnam, it will be my first time experiencing it with people who are part of the Vietnamese diaspora, who grew up in a similar boat. But we all have a different story to tell, and I can’t wait to listen to them. One thing I hope to get out of this is a lifelong friendship with everyone who’s coming along on this journey with me. Just like the fall foliage I’m seeing right now in Virginia. Maybe this trip will change a certain perspective. Maybe this trip will be a turning point for some of us. Maybe this trip will bring out colors inside of us that we’ve never seen before. I’ll see you guys in Vietnam in November.

This is beautiful😍I went to my parents’ motherland in Laos for the first time in 2023 at 21 years old and it was so healing 🥹🙏 like coming back home to myself and a journey of coming home to my ancestors. Hope it’s such a beautiful and healing trip
