A dream I had quietly nurtured in my heart for a long time has finally become a memory I will cherish for a lifetime.

It was an indescribable honour to represent Assam at the Parliament of India through the #KnowYourLeader Programme, organised by PRIDE, Lok Sabha Secretariat on 2nd Oct, 2026 to commemorate the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhiji and Lal Bahadur Shastriji.

I was selected for this prestigious opportunity after securing 4th position at the State Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026, held in March this year, which led me to the historic Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan.

What made the experience truly unforgettable was the opportunity to meet the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi ji and the Hon’ble Speaker of the Lok Sabha Om Birla ji and to witness the presence of senior Union Ministers, including Shri Rajnath Singh ji, Kiren Rijiju ji, Jitendra Singh ji, Pabitra Margherita ji, alongside Shri Anurag Singh Thakur ji and the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Shri Rahul Gandhi ji and other prominent leaders such as Smt. Sonia Gandhiji, Smt. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra ji, Shri Mallikarjun Kharge ji, and several other distinguished leaders from across the political spectrum. As a Political Science student, witnessing this remarkable gathering at the heart of Indian parliamentary democracy was a moment I will cherish forever.

Forever proud to have represented Assam.
Forever grateful for the opportunity.
Forever humbled by the responsibility.

Special thanks to Myb Assam
