Adding another layer to the culinary drama, the now-closed La Costa restaurant was located in Queensland, a state recognized as Australia’s pineapple heartland that produces the entire commercial supply for the country. Before his termination, the chef even instructed his management to research exactly why Italians take this pizza rule so seriously. 🍕
