We were taught to see periods as something impure, something to hide.

But in another part of the same culture, menstruation is worshipped as divine, powerful and life-giving.
So perhaps the question isn’t what menstruation means — but who decided what it should mean.
A natural biological process should never be a reason for shame. 🩸
