Life is good 👍

Half-time at Old Trafford.

Close the lid before flushing! 🚽🫢

I simulated what a flush does to the air in a small bathroom.

🔴 Lid open: the aerosol plume rises to the ceiling and lingers.
🔵 Lid closed: ~16× lower at the peak, ~30× lower after 30 s.

A flush throws a plume of tiny droplets up out of the bowl. With the lid open, nothing stops them. With it closed, most stay inside, while the rest escape through the gap around the rim.

And the particles that do escape don't disappear. They can eventually settle onto surfaces throughout the bathroom.

It doesn't make it zero, but it's the cheapest fix in the house.
