15 years of love, loyalty, and memories. Rest easy, sweet Bella.
It’s hard to put into words what 15 years with a dog can mean to you and your family.
I’ll never forget the first day we met Bella. We were outside a pet store where several dogs were up for adoption. There were so many to choose from, but the moment I saw her, I just knew. She was the one we were taking home. Looking back, I truly believe some things are just meant to be.
And what a blessing she turned out to be.
Bella was a little Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She was incredibly smart, loving, playful, and always eager to learn. I taught her to sit, lay down, and retrieve tennis balls, but one of my favorite things was watching her bounce a tennis ball all by herself and catch it. It was the coolest little trick, and it never got old.
She was my shadow when we were together. My jogging buddy, my occasional sleeping buddy, and a constant source of love and laughter. She could walk beside me without a leash, always seeming to know exactly where she belonged.
But more than anything, Bella was family.
For 15 years, she gave us a kind of unconditional love that only a dog can give. She was there for so many chapters of our lives, quietly becoming part of the memories we’ll carry forever.
And that’s what makes saying goodbye so hard. It’s not just losing a pet. It’s losing a little piece of your everyday life, a familiar face, a loyal companion, and a friend who loved you without ever needing a reason.
Bella, I hope you knew just how much we loved you. Thank you for the countless memories, the laughter, the companionship, and the unconditional love you gave our family. You brought so much happiness into our lives, and we’ll forever be grateful that out of all those dogs that day, we found you.
You may no longer be by our side, but you’ll always have a special place in our hearts.
We love you, Bella. Always have. Always will. ❤️🐾
