My trip to Lebanon was entirely made possible by the fantastic team at @seenary0 whose work I got to be a part of while there. We did amazing workshops with women from Lebanon, Syria and Palestine. The power of theatre to create community and connection was in full force and the work done was so beautiful. The talent of the many women I met was outstanding and the stories shared and performed through their incredible writing was truly inspiring, I felt very lucky to be there. To see the work that @seenary0 does please check out their page and support if you can. It’s so important to provide spaces for people to use trauma for their own healing. I believe all aspects of theatre can do that and what I got to be part of in Lebanon affirmed that belief a thousand times. See their shows if you are in Beirut! All info on their website.
