Outshot, but outscored by the Islanders. The story remains the same: defensive struggles continue to be the issue, and this time, the offence couldn’t bail them out. The Leafs need to tighten things up defensively if they want different results.

This team has no clue how to play defence. They don’t have the players to play defence. They are old slow and out of position!! I’m not a fan of Hiller , and the way he treated McKenna last game by benching him for no legit reason I don’t like him even more. This team will struggle to make playoffs!

It was an extraordinarily close race—the lead changed hands 12 times throughout the day, with a surge in voting in the last hour—but Machka’s momentum proved decisive! Dr. Computer Chips will assume the role of Machka’s right-hand pup, serving as Deputy Dog Mayor of NYC! We’ll have a fuller breakdown of the round’s results in our next Substack entry, so read and subscribe at the link in our bio! We want to extend our deepest thanks to Dr. Computer Chips and all of the pups who ran for NYC Dog Mayor—it’s a grueling process and we’re grateful to all who participated. Our gratitude extends to our followers and supporters from both NYC and around the world—over 20 countries voted in the final round alone, proving that our message of positivity, kindness, fun, and civic engagement knows no borders! But the ballot-casting isn’t over! Please get out and VOTE in today’s Human Being Election Day, to ensure that Machka isn’t the only great person elected to office this week! Machka and Dr. Chips will take the Oaf of Office at our indoguration ceremony on the steps of NY City Hall on Sunday, January 17! The ceremony will mark the Peaceful Transfer of Pawer from our current Mayor Simon, who has served with great dognity and forthrightness! And keep an eye on our Instagram, Facebook page, and our website for updated brackets, info about upcoming contests and events, and more! #DogMayorNYC
