I will never regret leaving a career I loved to show up for my kids the way I wanted to. 🤍
When my boys were 1 and 3, I was working as a television news anchor and reporter. I vividly remember being so exhausted I could hardly function.
And all of a sudden, my dream job just wasn’t the dream anymore.
My dream was a work-life balance that allowed me to do meaningful work and be present for my kids. A day doesn’t go by that I’m not tremendously grateful to have exactly that.
Even when that front-row seat is in the pouring rain, sleet or snow. There’s nowhere I’d rather be.

I could've used one of these when my kids were in school! Those rainy games can be brutal!

I have followed my twin Grandson's all through k-12th grade from practices, games and tournaments for soccer and lacrosse. Now am there for college lacrosse games at two different colleges in two different states. Also my Granddaughter is doing soccer , lacrosse and basketball. Always on a field somewhere with them. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Also, isn’t it amazing how our children have such an incredible way to make us shift priorities- almost instantly! Over and over again, if necessary. 🫶🏼
