At Prodigy and Los Panchos F.C., we teach our kids that confidence is one of the most important parts of the game. Talent matters, but talent without belief, consistency, discipline, and the courage to keep showing up will only take you so far.

Confidence has to be built at a young age. It comes from putting in the work when nobody is watching, learning from mistakes, staying coachable, and believing in yourself even when the results have not shown up yet. An elite player is not created overnight—it is built through repetition, sacrifice, and the mindset to keep pushing when things get hard.

Sometimes people will call your dreams unrealistic. They may think you are being wishful or even delusional for believing you can play at the next level. But vision looks crazy to people who do not understand the work behind it. The player who keeps believing, keeps training, and stays consistent is the one who separates himself when the opportunity comes.

International trips show us why supporting these kids’ dreams matters so much. You meet young athletes from different cities, countries, and backgrounds, but they all carry the same fire: the dream to compete, grow, represent their family, and become something bigger through this game.

Keep believing. Keep working. Keep showing up. Confidence and consistency will take you places talent alone never can.
