Democrats are projected to take control of both the United States House of Representatives and the Senate following the 2026 midterm elections, dealing a major political blow to President Donald Trump and the Republican Party. Democrats are projected to win around 255 seats in the House, well above the 218 needed for a majority, marking their return to power after four years. The victory will give Democrats the power to investigate Trump’s administration, including his immigration policies, business dealings and cryptocurrency ventures. Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries is also expected to become the first Black Speaker of the House when the new Congress takes office on January 3, 2027. The results come amid growing public dissatisfaction with Trump’s policies, including immigration crackdowns, rising living costs and the war with Iran.
This took ages to put together but it’s finally done! I wanted to try out a little concept comic hook for Threadbound to get a better feel on the art direction and vibes. This technically won’t be in the comic itself, but it covers the main murder mystery premise of the first chapter. This is the first mention of Patch, which is where the story takes place, and I’ve spent a long time fleshing it out. It’s a tight-knit small town stuck in a decaying 1950s aesthetic due to its declining economy. Despite that, the residents are very warm and welcoming. Everyone-knows-everyone kind of feel. I had a lot of fun coming up with the environments, and there’s a lot more in my drafts for specific locations that’ll appear in the comic - might get around to sharing those at some point.
You all know I love a fusion ;) So for BLUF this leather pride, I got the amazing satin shirt from @london_york_executive together with classic leather. The feel was amazing!
