We call it being smart.
Being careful.
Knowing when to let something go.
But a lot of that came from knowing there could be a real price for making the wrong person uncomfortable.
And then religion got used to make that obedience sound holy.
That’s the part that really bothers me.
Because if the person with the power is also the person telling you God wants you compliant…
come on.

The things that she said in this speech is also one of the reasons I no longer follow Christianity and I no longer believe in the Bible not to mention the fact that it contradicts itself time and time again. I believe there's a greater power than us just not this mythical god.

The same people that enslaved and unalived certain groups of people for reading is going to turn around and hand the same group of people a book called the bible and tell them that it is the key to their salvation.
