I did a deep dive into MIDI health’s compounded sermorelin. Could there BE any less evidence? (Read with a Chandler Bing voice).

We have no safety data or efficacy data.

I could find only one study from 2006. And that is using an FDA approved version, not this compound. MIDI does not link to any quality studies. One of the review chapters they link to actually states:

To date, definitive conclusions regarding the functional effects of treatments, aimed at increasing growth hormone levels in healthy aged individuals compared to those of young healthy persons have been elusive until more studies are undertaken… conclusive statements about the merits of treatment cannot be made.

Because midi health prescribes MHT does not give them a pass to sell sermorelin. If you use them and are happy, great. I am not judging you. I am judging midi. But ask yourself, what kind of onboarding happens with clinicians when these kinds of products are for sale and that they will be expected to manage? And if they are promoting this, what might that say about how they interpret other medical evidence.

How do you dose something and monitor it when there are no studies to guideline you?

Inevitably, mIdi clinicians come into my DMs defining the company. Really, you are defending this? Show me some actual data.
