The infinity pools at Solaz, a Luxury Collection Resort in Los Cabos, form a cascading series of oceanfront edges designed by renowned architectural firm Sordo Madaleno. Lined with custom butterfly-green granite, the pools mimic the rich turquoise tones of the Sea of Cortez, creating a seamless visual horizon where the water appears to spill directly into the ocean. Flanked by tiered desert landscaping, native cacti, and sleek Baja stone terraces, the expansive multi-pool deck offers in-water loungers, private daybeds, and attentive poolside service, capturing a striking blend of modern Mexican architecture and coastal desert scenery. . . #fitmom #trendingreels #fitbody #cabo #mexico
Hong Kong pro-democracy campaigner Joshua Wong's time in prison has been extended after a court Thursday meted out a 10-year sentence over a second national security conviction. Wong became the face of Hong Kong's now-decimated pro-democracy movement when he was a teenager, and entered prison for the first time at 23. He turned 30 last month. In September, he pleaded guilty to conspiring with fellow activists to invite foreign sanctions against China and Hong Kong in 2020 – the year Beijing introduced the city's National Security Law, which led to a crackdown on dissent, the shuttering of vocal news outlets, and the dissolution of civic groups. In the latest case, prosecutors accused Wong of conspiring with others to lobby the United States and other countries to sanction China and Hong Kong, prior to the law's imposition. Wong is already serving 4 years and 8 months in prison, after pleading guilty in a landmark subversion trial in 2024. He was due for release in January. Just met my sister from the stars ✨ Many lifetimes ago, we sang and danced around the fire. We knew the art of being free. The art of being deeply touched by pain and joy, and alchemising all emotions into song and prayer. It feels so good to sing together again and continue this endless journey of healing and remembering🔥 Thank you, Sista ❤️

Road maintenance is one of the most important responsibilities of modern infrastructure, yet neglected streets can deteriorate so badly that they begin revealing layers of history underneath them. Most modern roads are constructed using asphalt, which provides a relatively smooth and durable surface for vehicles. However, constant traffic, temperature changes, moisture and poor drainage can gradually weaken the material, causing cracks, potholes and sections of pavement to collapse. In areas with older infrastructure, roads are sometimes resurfaced multiple times rather than completely reconstructed, leaving previous surfaces buried beneath newer layers. When the asphalt eventually breaks apart, these older materials can become visible again, occasionally revealing construction methods that haven’t been commonly used for generations. One particularly fascinating photograph shows a badly damaged asphalt road exposing what appears to be an older brick or stone-block surface underneath. The unusual discovery has sparked jokes that the street has deteriorated so severely it’s practically returned to the Victorian era. During the 19th century, many urban streets were constructed using cobblestones, stone setts or specially manufactured paving bricks, which could withstand heavy horse-drawn traffic before asphalt became widely adopted. Some of these historic surfaces remain buried beneath modern streets today, preserved for decades beneath layers of pavement. While the photograph doesn’t establish exactly when the exposed blocks were installed, it’s remarkable how a neglected road can accidentally reveal an entirely different generation of infrastructure. Imagine hitting a pothole so deep that your car starts traveling through time. 😭 #RoadMaintenance #History #hospitalinfrastructure
