Financial literacy is a passion of mine. I have been wanting more opportunities to share my concept of Family First Finance with educators and discuss how we can make financial education a part of a child’s learning experience from an early age.
Well, after about three tries and the help of Dr. Tommie Mabry, I finally received the opportunity to share my concept during a national conference for educators at the National Family Engagement Summit in Charleston, South Carolina!
To overcome the financial challenges many Americans face, financial literacy has to start in kindergarten with a three-pronged approach. Not only do we include students, but parents and educators need to be a part of the learning, too.
Sometimes, the opportunities we are passionate about take a little longer to come together, but we have to keep showing up and believing in the vision.
