I love DC. I love that every neighborhood is its own little town. I love the tiny parks adopted by embassies or neighbors, teeming with flowers. I love the Ethiopian coffee shops and the Asian bakeries. I love the architecture that reflects the influential waves of immigrants who shaped this city- the Dutch facades and French embellishments, the Spanish stucco and the stately Georgian mansions , the Edwardian townhomes. I love the trees planted for veterans and the bridges named for musicians and statesmen. DC is NOT the clown show in Congress. #beautifuldc #freedc
