The process for the costume was so much fun to make. For our upcoming movie “A Hidden Space” I had a 3D scanned and printed life cast of my face by @russellefx We also had one made of Sam’s dad @boxleitnerbruce Their features are similar so we used his cast for Sam. I painted the inside with layers of slip latex, then cut them to shape and then my favorite part painting the details with a base of Mel Pax and then Alcohol based makeup. I applied them with Prosaid and blended in with Pax. The tricky part was getting the rounded edges stuck down around Sam’s nose. I used face wax to build it up and stuffed them with cotton for shape. The clothes were fun to make as well, adding extra buttons for me and a collar for Sam. We also have a pregnancy belly in our movie so we repurposed that as well. This was a blast to try and recreate from the #backroomsmovie and rewarding to see people’s reactions! 👻 Thanks @seanjdecker for the best couples costume award! 🖤
