Today is all about rehearsals as we prepare for tomorrow’s Swimsuit Competition. A little practice, a lot of excitement, and making every moment count.

For today’s rehearsal look, I’m embracing a touch of floral elegance. 🌷✨

This took ages to put together but it’s finally done! I wanted to try out a little concept comic hook for Threadbound to get a better feel on the art direction and vibes. This technically won’t be in the comic itself, but it covers the main murder mystery premise of the first chapter.

This is the first mention of Patch, which is where the story takes place, and I’ve spent a long time fleshing it out. It’s a tight-knit small town stuck in a decaying 1950s aesthetic due to its declining economy. Despite that, the residents are very warm and welcoming. Everyone-knows-everyone kind of feel. I had a lot of fun coming up with the environments, and there’s a lot more in my drafts for specific locations that’ll appear in the comic - might get around to sharing those at some point.

Democrats have won a majority in the House of Representatives and are on course to pick up perhaps 40 seats, exceeding most forecasts.

Republicans’ efforts to gerrymander additional seats have largely failed, with Democrats holding or capturing districts redrawn to favour Republicans in states such as North Carolina, Florida and Texas.
