Ultramarathon #4 in the books!
31.7 miles!🏃‍♀️🌲⛰️

Black River Trail Classic did NOT dick around!!! 😂 Beautiful trails, absolutely brutal climbs, and approximately 47 moments of wondering why we willingly do this to ourselves. 🤣

I got to tackle this one with my friend Isy, who apparently decided her FIRST ultramarathon should be one of the hardest ones out there. And guess what?! SHE ABSOLUTELY NAILED IT! 🙌🏼 So proud of her and so glad we got to experience this together!

We had SO much fun. So many laughs, so many miles, so many moments of questioning our decisions… and naturally, we’re already talking about the 85K next year. HAHAHAHA. Because apparently we learned absolutely nothing. 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

The trails were beautiful, the weather was perfect, the event was amazing, and the volunteers were incredible. And of course, my husband showed up yet again to support my latest questionable hobby. ❤️ There is something so special about knowing your people are waiting for you at that finish line. It makes every hard mile worth it.

We even made a weekend out of it with a fun stay at a great hotel in Tomah, WI, and honestly, the whole weekend was just SO GOOD.

Four ultras in, and I still can’t believe I get to do this stuff. Grateful for strong legs, good friends, beautiful trails, and the kind of memories that make you forget how miserable some of those miles were. 😂❤️

Now, if someone could explain how I’m supposed to go back to real life after a weekend like this, that would be great. Because I am NOT ready. LOL.😂
