๐‘ฉ๐’๐’๐’Œ: Love You to Death
๐‘จ๐’–๐’•๐’‰๐’๐’“: Jenna Levine

๐‘ญ๐’Š๐’“๐’”๐’• ๐‘ป๐’‰๐’๐’–๐’ˆ๐’‰๐’•๐’”:

Such a fun take on the Grim Reaper storyline. Anyone who has worked a corporate job will relate to Grim and the soul crushing bureaucracy of soul collection. I loved how fiery Lucy was and how it took literally facing death for her to fight for what she wanted and get a second chance. Her evolving relationship with her sister and realizing what truly matters felt so genuine. Grimโ€™s observation reports had me laughing, especially all his scratch outs. Definitely a great spooky season read if you want to find yourself swooning over Death.

๐‘บ๐’š๐’๐’๐’‘๐’”๐’Š๐’”:

Getting hit by a bus wasnโ€™t part of Lucyโ€™s plans, especially with her sisterโ€™s wedding coming up in six weeks. Faced with the afterlife and Grim himself, Lucy isnโ€™t ready to say goodbye. Grim strikes a bargain that gives her eight more weeks on Earth, but thereโ€™s a catch: sheโ€™ll become a failed study case for the struggling Grim Reaping business, and he must submit reports to help improve customer service and employee morale. Their unconventional arrangement soon becomes much more personal as Lucy brings light and chaos into Grimโ€™s centuries old existence, and they fall for each other. But with Lucyโ€™s time running out, the hardest part of being Death may be falling in love with someone he could have to let go.

๐‘ญ๐’‚๐’— ๐‘ธ๐’–๐’๐’•๐’†:

โ€œYou are the only spark of light and joy I have known in one hundred and thirty-five years. You are like finally seeing in color after an eternity of black-and-white.

Finding yourself and choosing what matters
โ€ข Sisterhood and family
โ€ข Second chances and personal growth
โ€ข Workplace burnout and bureaucracy
โ€ข Mortality and what makes life meaningful

๐‘ป๐’“๐’๐’‘๐’†๐’”:
