이러한 장면을 정물적 관계 속에서 재구성하여 작업에 담아내는 것은 어쩌면 무겁거나 심오한 현실의 표상을 덜어내고 조금은 다른 방식으로 바라보기 위한 시도였을지도 모른다. 현실 속에서 찾을 수 있는 작은 미적 심상을 들추어내어 작업에 배게 함으로써 ‘사적인 취향의 공간’을 구현해 내려는 과정인 셈이다. – 텍스트 중 일부

Reconstructing these scenes through still-life relations and bringing them into my work may have been an attempt to lift some of the weight and gravity of reality, and to view it through a subtly altered lens. It is a process of uncovering subtle aesthetic resonances within the everyday and allowing them to permeate the work.
